Are These Words?

These are a few "words" I've gotten when I responded to blog entries. I've gotten some real words, but some of the nonsense ones are more fun. I've tried to come up with meanings for some. (Yup, I'm a bit of a dork.)

remicem, priala

Remicem (ray-mee see-em): It's a parasite that causes you to talk about everything you have looked at during your life.

Priala (pree-ah-la): The moment before you start singing.

So it sounds like you've played Balderdash! Some of the words we "created" are still in use today. For example: Niddering - the jumping movement of a car when taking the foot off the clutch too fast.

And my capcha is FLING. Which is a totally real word. Go figure.

How about "tiviling"?

Tivilling" is Norwegian to describe the motion between a gallop and a full run done by children so they don't slip in the ice during winter.

We revel in our dorkness and geekness here! Our poor, innocent children. But one day they'll realize that they could have had boring and stiff parents and *that* would have been a tragic childhood.

And I have a great-aunt who suffers from remicem...

my word..."vialla" and I can't help but think of the song "Almost Paradise". So close...

"houselex" - that is the word I am getting in order to be able to post my comment. :)

Don't me to sound dorky here, but the words are real words. Part of the capcha program is to help convert words that were scanned into the computer, which the computer can't read. A base word is added that the computer can read. When we are typing it in we are in-fact translating data that is placed into a computer database which computers are unable to do on their own.
